You know you’ve stayed in your military camp for too long when you receive an sms from Maxis saying ‘Welcome to Malaysia’ and, for a few seconds, actually wonder if the rest of the outside world (or rather, only the rest of Singapore’s territory) has been invaded by and now belong to Malaysia and you are one of the last person on Earth to find out because you are stuck in camp for the past 10 days.
