Rainbow

November 10th, 2007

When was the last time you saw a rainbow right before your eyes?

I saw one (or one and a half) yesterday.

Was doing my sculpture assignment in the FYP room, and I decided to go for a break at about 6.20pm. I walked out to the ‘roof garden’ just outside the room, planning to look at the sunset. Then.. I saw this!

Rainbow

Now you know why I said I saw ‘one and a half’ rainbow. The one on the left is a bit faint, but still visible.

I tell you, it was a totally beautiful sight. I was so excited to see the rainbow that I ran back like some mad guy into the room and informed some of my friends about it, and at the same time, grabbed my camera to take the picture.

Haha, they ran out to the ‘roof garden’ like a bunch of kids too.

We all just stood there, looking at the rainbow for a good 10 minutes. It was a rather peaceful moment, and it felt magical too. It felt as if someone ‘photoshopped’ this ‘rainbow image’ onto the sky.

Realised that Mr Endoh saw this rainbow too! Read his post here

Watching sunset in NYP

I think the ‘roof garden’ in NYP is a great spot for watching sunsets, but too bad we have those blocks of other schools blocking our view.

It’s always great to take some time off to watch the sunset, after long hours of work in the air-con room. One of my lecturers even said that, if you are feeling cold because of the air-con, you can lie down on the warm concrete/cement tiles of the roof garden during the evening to get some warmth.

Some of my friends lying down on the tiles

See, some of my friends were lying down too. It feels good because all you see is either the sky, or birds flying above you (which tend to make you feel uneasy).

Sunset is such an amazing piece of animated art that we all tend to miss in our busy lifestyle. Every second, every minute, you get a different arrangement of cloud pattern, different position of the sun, and different colours on the clouds. Who knows, while looking for a sunset, you might see a rainbow as a bonus!

I’ve watched two movies over the past two weeks.

TriangleTriangle

I didn’t pay for this movie, but instead won a pair of tickets for this. Haha. So my review might be a little bit biased.

Starring the super handsome Louis Koo, directed by three different directors for three different parts of the story, Triangle is about three guys struggling to make ends meet. I think this movie is a mix of comedy, action, suspence, mystery and drama. The movie slowly unfolds and sometimes surprises audience with twists. Very entertaining.

Bee Movie

Bee Movie

I didn’t pay for this movie too, because I used the Shaw movie voucher I won the other time to buy the tickets of this movie. Haha!

This movie is about jokes, not story. It is a roughly 90 minute long animation with lots of jokes put inside, trying to entertain you while hoping to make a weak plot look like it’s working. I understand there is an underlying meaningful message behind this movie, but I think it just doesn’t cut it. The animation is brilliant, the overall ‘look’ is colourful and pleasing to the eyes, but it’s not as funny as I expected.

In fact, i also remember that i saw a rainbow somewhere around last week, when i was taking bus 86 home. The rainbow last until like i almost reach home. I was pretty surprise, most of the time rainbow just disappear very quickly, but that one last for awhile.

I was also like shouting “ARR RAINBOW!” in the bus, with a friend of course.
