How’s IAP?

May 30th, 2007

Have installed a cbox in my website. You can contact me, or even try to chat with me ‘live’ over there during office hours. Click here to go.

IAP has been pretty fine so far. Haha. On the first day itself, due to the lack of password for us to use the computer, our supervisor simply told us to ‘wait’ and ‘relax’ for the whole day. And because of a few things (will touch on that later), Wil (another guy who is attached to the same company and department as me) and I were super bored on the first day. I slept until I wasn’t sleepy to sleep anymore.

Here’s a few things about the company/my office:

Things I Dislike

  • No MSN and no Youtube access. In fact, all video streaming and proxy sites that you can think of, are blocked! Arrrr… T_T ( Here’s the reason why I set up that cbox. )
  • No using of handphone with camera. Things can get pretty messy if you are caught using it. So I had to change to one without camera on the second day. Which is this:

    Motorola V2288

It is water bottle size. IT SENDS SMS IN CAPS, so it will look like I’m screaming at you. Has no clock. Does not show the name of the person who sends you SMS. Inbox limit of 30 SMS. Guys, if you have a better old phone that you are not using, please lend me for the next three months. Haha.

  • Isolated office location. A total of three of us are supposed to work in a room for the whole day. It’s like being locked up in jail, or rather, thrown into some unknown world out there. Luckily I have two other interns to ’suffer’ with me. Phew.
  • No portable media that is capable of transferring data is allowed.

Enough of the bad, now, the Things I Like!

  • It is a stress-free environment. The workload is actually quite low, so low that we have the time to watch dramas (in DVD format), read comics and books. People who love to slack all day, this might be your dream job. Haha. =x
  • 10 mins, is the travel time from my house to this company. Woot!
  • Company staff are mostly friendly. =)

That’s all so far. I cannot tell you what’s the name of the company here. If you want to know more, you can uhh.. look for me. Lol.

The End

May 27th, 2007

Happy 19th birthday Tsae Yun! =)

Ah.. FYP has finally ended! Went to watch Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End straight after that.

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End

I have been a great fan of the first movie of the series, Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl. Reason being, the plot was simple, interesting and purely entertaining. The second movie disappointed me a little, despite the same old funny Jack Sparrow and the awesome effects. A few new characters were thrown in and different hard-to-follow plot lines were introduced in it. It also lost a bit of the ‘brilliance’ that the first movie had.

Based on the experience of watching the second movie, I didn’t want to expect too much from the third. In the third movie, even more new characters and plot lines were introduced. I gave up trying to understand what was going on after awhile and just let the movie take me away with the visuals, humour and other entertaining stuff. Sometimes I didn’t really know who was fighting for what.

Overall, it is actually quite entertaining. Perhaps I should watch it a few more times to really know the story better, if any.

The end of FYP

This part of the entry is going to be incredibly long.. and boring. Lol.

My FYP started almost right after my Studio Project this year. Honestly speaking, I wasn’t happy about it. I was already very tired after Studio Project, and yet I had to work on a new project for 12 weeks.
